Location:

Sitio De Calahonda is a small town in Andalusia, southern Spain. It is located on the coast about halfway between Fuengirola and Marbella (both cities can be reached in about 10 minutes by car via the A-7) and belongs to the municipality of Mijas. Driving time to Malaga Airport is just under 30 minutes.

Calahonda has about 27 kilometers of streets, about 7.000 houses and 600.000 square meters of green space. The predominant population is not of Spanish origin, it is mainly composed of British, Scandinavian and German emigrants.

The local sandy beaches of Playa de la Calahonda, Playa el Salón, and Playa la Catetilla are among the most famous beaches on the Costa del Sol. In the middle of Nerja there is a small bay right next to the Balcón de Europa - itself a first-rate attraction.

In the mountain north of the center, residential complexes of high quality have been built since the 80s, with different construction methods that 'nestle' on the slope. There are condominiums here with great penthouses and terraced houses of higher standards. In between there are a large number of restaurants, shops of all kinds, but also tennis and golf facilities.
